Lucky Novice Trickdog!!

We are being busy in between dogshows with the Novice trickdog title of Lucky.
We had so much fun teaching and training the tricks. Tricktraining is great for getting a strong bond, and most of the tricks can be trained at home, so no dogschool is needed.
Lucky had to perform 15 tricks towards his Novice title, this video sadly does not show all tricks, becasue I lost some in the editing.
Enjoy!!!

Another group win for Anna

Very nice and succesfull showday in Heerhugowaard today.
We only entered Anna and she did marvelous
She got placed 1 BOB and BIG and later on 4th place in show!!!!
Judge was ms Half-van Boven
Thanks alot for the nice results.

Vivien nice 3rd place in Leuven

Last saturday we showed Vivien in Leuven, she did pretty nice by gaining an excellent 3 under Belgian judge ms Leona Dams Reynaart.

She is normally our tasmanian devil and she is sometimes a little bit jumpy in the showring, but she did an absolute top job, and I'm so very proud of her.

KCM very nice results!!!

Wow, very pleased today with the results at the KCM last sunday september 8th the Dutch Collie club specialty show
I only entered Lucky since I don't have much energy with a litter and maintaining some sort of showcondition on the dogs.
But he did great.
Judge was breedspecialist ms Jadranka Mijatovic from Kroatia (Dennisays/Geantles)  and Lucky was rewarded Excellent 2 res-CAC
He had a super report and I'm so over the moon with the phrase that Lucky is in absolute top condition!!!!!!
Also we did some of the workshops and according to the man who did the agility, Lucky has potential for agility, so maybe I will start that next year when my own club is starting the new agility season
We had a nice day!!!!

Pupdate week 8

We are a few days late with the pupdate, but we had a busy and exiting week. Lots of phonecalls and visits made our web update a little difficult.

But the rebels had  a great time. Again it was a heatwave in the Netherlands so we had to scedule the active stuff in the evening hours.

We have been able to work an recal, sit, down, walk on a leash, visit the vet, car rides and just plain fun. The adult dogs are now most of the time in the same space as the puppies, but if we think the babies need a break we seperate them to keep both the adults and the puppies safe and happy.

I'm happy we created this strong bond between human and pup, because the puppies seem to love new people and are curious about live and not scared at all!!!

Here are a few video's of the boys with their teaching session of sit. Unfortunatly when I videod Leia I had the camera set up wrong, so you don't see a puppy on the clip.

We also think it is very important that puppies socialize only with gentle dogs at this young age, and Anna is very soft for the babies

This clip is from Friday, this would be the last day that they could play toghether as 4 because Luke was leaving our place at Saturday to live a great life in Heerhugowaard.
His new name is Lasco and we know he will have an awsome time with his new mistress.

Asterix is staying for a while because of domestic travel so we continue to socialize him toghether with Leia, who is our new girl.
Ben has not yet a forever home, so if you really love him he is still  available. And ofcourse we will keep socialicing and teaching behaviours in the meantime, so when he leaves he will have some basic knowledge in his mind

Super show weekend in Malsch Germany

We had a brilliant weekend in Malsch Germany, We started it of on saturday with a seminar on the collie standard

The seminar was given by Krista Nelson Hansen ( Camlach collies) and Mary Benedict (Long Acre collies)  from the US.
It was a very nice seminar and again I got new insights, and despite the language barrier of German and English, I did manage to give the right anwer to a paricular question about soft expression. ( my English is pretty ok, but with hearing so much German around me I was shut down or some...thing)

Then sunday we had the EuropaSieger Show Judge Breedspecialist  by ms Mary Benedict (Long Acre collies)
Judy was Excellent 1 CACIB Winners Bitch and has for the second year in a row the title Europa Siegerin
Star was Excellent 1 CACIB
Lucky was Excellent 2 res-CACIB
Scarlett was Excellent 2 res-CACIB
Braceclass 2nd place

This was also the very last show for Scarlett as she is now offically retired from the showring.
We had a great time showing her but we think that is is best to stop now.
We had loads of fun and so many thanks to all the people who where loving our dogs. I really was so surprised that so many people knew Judy and came to our setup and get to know our dogs.

Pupdate week 7

It was a rough week. We had a lot of chalenges as breeders. Apparently food we bought was wrong. (It was the same food, but bought with another store, because of delay of delivery from the normal company) Terribly wrong. The puppies refused to eat, they probably smelled it was not good. But we made sure they ate, because pups need to grow, they need to eat.

We cried, we worked hard, we did not sleep for days, but we made sure the pups would be better. Pups went to the vet to be checked, stools where to be checked, no Virus was in their stools so the vet was also afraid of what was wrong.
I'm very gratefull that my parents took them to the vet in the daytime, and I could contact my vet about 24/7.

Lucky for us the Leia did not want to eat the regular food, even with all the fine things we mixed it with. And she was only eating the fancy food we gave to make the regular food more tastefull.
So then we tought hey, this is wrong, we throwed out all the food. And opened the new bag of food, from our normal delivery, and they where cured again.

In between all the struggles we did as much we could to go on with their socializing. So we did work on Recal, we did work on new sounds, new objects, we did work alot on getting them housebroken and now they yell when they want to go pee, and they want to do it outside.
Potential puppy buyers went for a visit, and family was coming over to meet the babies.

Also nail clipping and even brushing teeth where on our list of things that need to be trained.

We introduced the crate, and they have much fun with it.

Upcoming week we can expand all fun and learning experiences even more.

Enjoy all the pictures and you know if you are interested, most likely there is only 1 puppy that needs a new home.
