Donations for the collie health foundation

I'm so blessed to have so many people reading my blog, I really apreciate that, and since it is almost my birthday, and Facebook has so many nice charity's you can support on your birthday, I would like everyone to join and donate a little to the Collie Health foundation.

They do such great work for our breed, and I got this from their website

  • To foster and promote the public’s knowledge and appreciation of dogs in general and collies in particular;
  • To further understanding of the diseases, defects, injuries and other ailments that afflict dogs in general and collies in particular;
  • To support and promote the study of and research on the history, character, varieties, breeding genetics and particular health problems of collies;
  • To establish a national data base of resource materials about collies;
  • To produce, publish & distribute to the general public educational materials about the proper care, treatment, breeding, health, development & training of collies  "
If you like to donate wow,
And maybe you even want to join! Even more Wow.

Thank you in advance

Pupdate week 5

We had so much fun this week.
The puppies grow amazing and doing so well. We try to take them outside in their little run every day for half an hour or an hour never more. They love being outside.

We are also blessed that collies are so clean, so doing potty is most of the time not in their play and sleep area, but on a special blanket that is close to the door.
Even outside they don't want to soil their play area and they will scream to go outside, and then go happily in the playpen again after relieving.

We are busy to make them comfortable in all kinds of situations, nails are being clipped on Saturday and we make them get used to brushes, their collar, a leash, think of it. Only in small bits and pieces.

We are very pleased with the happy attitude of the babies, they don't seem to be frightened, but we also know week 5 is sometimes crucial in fear periods.
So we will only be doing fun and happy activities the upcoming few day's and then next week we can do more exiting things again, when they get over this fase.
I hope to be doing a timelapse or another dutch post this weekend, because many people apreciate the Dutch postings aswel.

For questions don't hesitate and send a message

Pupdate week 2

The little ones are growing beautifull. The puppies are content the whole time.  Things changed over the years so I was patiently waiting for the confirmation of the names of the puppies, but they where already in our portal.
So we are very happy to announce the Star Wars Rebels, Glamourace Collies Han Solo, Princess Leia, Luke Skywalker and Obi-wan Kenobi

We have been doing a lot of cuddling, and started at day 9 with a sort of solid food, Thanks to Leslie Rappaport of Kings Valley Collies for the support!
Nails have been clipped again as they are growing super quick.
By day 16 all of the eyes started to open and they also move around in the whelping box in a very funny way.

I think that the easy weeks are over and we now transition into a period of exploring the world, and we look forward to it.

Judy wins Collie specialty in Malsch

What a weekend, I will post more on the seminars later, but first I like to brag about some great results.
We had a specialty show by the American collie club in Germany last Sunday and we had a blast.

Judge was ms Krista Hansen from the USA (Camloch collies)
I had entered 4 collies this time,

Judy in open, Star in Champion, Lucky in Ehrenclasse (for champions and int. champions) and Dita in veteran class.

This was a non FCI show so all nr 1 got CACIB,
I was very pleased that Star got a CACIB, Lucky did also get a CACIB and Judy aswell.

Dita became 2nd in veteran class.

But the best thing to happen was that Judy gained
an excl 1 CACIB, Europasiegerin, Best of Breed and then going Best in Specialty show!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was so amazed.

I was so proud with the great words the Judge shared on my girl, she loved her head, and proportions, beautifull sound body with smooth movement. Excellent coat condition.

For me it was so beautifull to hear these words from a breedspecialist
We are still on a cloud.

Also the dreamteam showed their best by becoming best brace!!!!

Enjoy the pictures.

Later I will post some more on the excellent seminars I went to on the Saturday before the show.

Another best in show win for Anna

What an amazing day today in Almelo, very very windy and very hot.
Again a BEST IN SHOW for Anna she decided to be out of coat but she did it anyway.
Breed and group judging was for ms Roel van Veen-Keur, the best in show judging was done by ms Roel van Veen and ms Van der Veen. Thanks so much for this amazing result.

Judy had not been in the showring since I don't know when and did great by gaining excl 1 BOS, and her son Lucky was excl 1 BOB and he became 3th in g...roup! Also these judgings where done by ms Roel van Veen Keur.

Grooming/Handling seminar and Collie Health foundation presentation

Very often we are getting education over here at Glamourace Collies!!!
Last weekend I attented to a grooming, and handling seminar by ms Lori Montero (USA LoriMar Collies) and I went to a lecture of the Collie Heatlh foundation by ms Robette Johns, president of the Collie Health foundation.
This was a very interesting day and a lot of info can be used again in the whole hobby of being a breeder of happy healthy collies
