Delayed update with loads of happy news

 Finally finally,

it seems facebook is an easier way to just quickly share the news of shows, however, I tend to display a lot on my personal facebook, and I do not accept everyone on it.

So here a long delayed update,

Shows are gradually making it's way into our lives, and we are super blessed to be in the position to make a lot of them.

Here some awsome results by Vivien
She gained excellent 1 best veteran of the breed, and best of breed, in Itteren and best veteran in Show (judge Puts and Marijnisen)
In Geraardsbergen she got Excellent 1 best veteran of the breed, and best of breed (judge mr Wulteputte)
In Antwerpen she got excellent 1 best veteran of the breed and selected in the mainring with the last 6 (judge ms Lawless and mr Vandenbosch)
In Gorinchem she got excellent 1 best veteran of the breed (judge ms Ricky Lochs-Romans)
And yesterday in Genk, she did an amazing job by getting another excellent 1 best veteran of the breed and in the mainring, on the podium getting BIS2 veteran (judge ms Kelveri-Phillipou and ms Vivianne Boesmans)

She is now Dutch veteran Champion, and Dutch Champion!!!!

Anna also went to some shows
In Itteren she became excl 1 Best veteran of the breed and best of breed BIG, and BIS3!!! (Judges ms Marijnissen and in the mainring all attending judges)
In Geraardsbergen excellent 1 best veteran of the breed and best of breed (judge mr Wulteputte)
Zwolle she got excellent 1 reserve-cac and best veteran of the breed (judge ms Vermeire)

Judy started her Veteran carreer in Zwolle by gaining excellent 1 best veteran of the breed (judge van Veen-Keur)

Lucky has been to Antwerpen and got excellent 2 reserve-CACIB (judge ms Lawless)

And Star has now been showed twice,
She gained excellent 1 CACIB in Antwerpen (judge ms Lawless)
And in Genk she gained excellent 1 res-CACIB (Judge ms Kelveri-Phillipou)

Also we had a great braceclass selection in Antwerpen, even though Lucky was in love with Star who was in season (and I tought I would manage with only a spray under Star's tail) they got selected within the last 6 braces in show.

She did amazing getting exl 1 res-cac
And Vivien wow, exl 1 CAC veteran-cac and BOB!!!
just a few days shy of her 9th birthday, and she really blew my mind,

Super nice athmosphere at the dogshow, superfriendly people at the organisation, I'm so happy to be in the ring again.

Update after a long while

 We are still going strong.
And still staying home sort of. As you probably know we are doing many virtual titles. So we train tricks at home, and put them on video in order to get a working title!

Super many fun. With Lucky I do virtual runs/walks. After his condition in januari I was very scared to do anything with him, and I know the vet approved he can do fitness and running like before, it is sometimes scary.

So we don't do runs, but we do walks/speedwalks instead.
We did the do more with your dog 2 k9 speedwalk, and we did the virtual Grand Canyon, so we had 2 beautfifull medals and a great certificate!

We are now in the middle of a virtual Kruger Park race, and there is still a Bob Ross happy little 5k medal in the mail.

So we are not at the dogshows, but still very active.

Star's new trick titles

We have been pretty silent over here, well, no shows, is not so much news. We are as always pretty active with training and such.

As I'm a tricktrainer (now All Star of the year) I do have to make inspirational video's, so we have been doing an Alphabet trick challenge, and a 20 tricks with 1 prop.

With the ABC we needed to come up with a trick for every letter of the alphabet, and for the 1 prop 20 tricks, we choose to do 20 tricks with cavaletti's

We had super much fun, and ofcourse I'm still training with Anna, my goal is that she will have a trick title too!

Here's Stars prop challenge video!

And for everyone who is curious about the health of Lucky and Scarlett, they both are doing great, both are living their life as if nothing happened, so we are super glad about that.

Our borzoi Anna is training for a trick title

So we are still in Lockdown, stuff is getting more boring every single day. However we still try to do fun stuff. All our collies have a trick title now, and Anna doesn't have one.

Borzois are not easy to train, they are super smart, only they will work if they think there is some personal gain.

We started a youtube vlog and an instagram page for Anna, because that will keep me accountable, people know me for training collies, and I did have many successes with the collies, and now I like to train with Anna.

You can follow her on instagram https://www.instagram.com/barsoi_anna/

And I have her vlog on youtube, her first video is up today!!

2021 it started a bit weird, but we are ok now!

We did have a very intersting start of 2021

Before the new year Lucky was not really enjoying his meals, but hey, he is a boy and if there are females in season that is normal.

But a few days in January he was still not feeling well, I looked at him, he looked sad, he looked lethargic. His belly was swollen, he had diarea. I went to the vet (ofcoarse I had a different vet as my regular because that is what always happens to me)
She checked his belly and it was extremely full of gas, no doubt why he wouldn't eat, he got a few shots a few pills and he should be OK in 2 days, and his stools had to be OK after the weekend.
2 days later I looked at him, he was breathing heavily he looked sad again (he felt pretty ok 1 day after treatment) I was not sure so I called the vet again. After explaining she told me to come. His belly did not feel really blown up, but she decided to do an echo.
Not good, there was fluid in his belly and she told me she could take the fluid and check it, only she could probably not do anything from the checks, so she called a specialist and 3 hours later I was in Roden.
Check, check, check, he looked OK but he did not behave like my Lucky.
Echo for Lucky, did not look bad, but why was he behaving so sick. The next vet came in and she instantly said, "have you checked on his heart" well not yet. I was so happy this vet was a heart specialist, so more shaving under his belly, and OMG, loads of fluid around his heart.
My own heart started racing, I was so shocked, again I took action at the right time, 1 day later, and Lucky would be gone.
So fluids around his heart, before I knew they had to tell me, we are going to put a needle towards his heart to get the fluids out. It almost never goes wrong, but we are going to put a needle close to his heart.
There was no choice of course, so there I was, holding his head, giving him kisses through my mask.
A lot of fluids where drained out and we got pills, I was also very worried because what if it is something comes with my breeding, or maybe his brothers and sisters will also get this.
They assured me this was nothing that was from my breeding and it was not likely any one of his relatives would become this.
So now 1,5 week ahead. Today I went for a check up, Lucky was so happy he greeted the vet with enthusiasm, echo again and nothing to see, his heart looks like it should!!!!!!
No reason to panic anymore. Most likely he had the biggest case of bad luck ever, what it was exactly we will never know. It can come again, it can never come again, it can come in a few years we just don't know.
What I do know is that he is happy now, his heart is super now, he loves his food, we can go loose lead walking he is allowed to enjoy his life and do tricks and fitness.
This is again a great reminder to enjoy every day, there is always something to be grateful for, I was so shocked when this happened but later that day I said to myself I'm grateful I saw he was not OK, I'm grateful I took him to a vet and I'm grateful for the people who helped him.
